Introducing the 1916 Table Cover Series
I’m starting a new long-form crochet journey: recreating (and carefully documenting) a beautiful table cover pattern published in 1916. This project is part vintage research, part stitch-by-stitch progress, and part modern-maker notes—so you can follow along, learn from my edits, and (if you’d like) crochet alongside me.
To keep this series easy to browse, I’m publishing the main content as Pages (instead of regular blog posts). That way, everything stays organized in one place and doesn’t get buried in the blog feed over time.
Start here: The series hub page includes the full “getting started” info and links to each completed section.
About the update schedule
There’s no weekly timeline for this series. I’ll publish updates whenever I complete a section and have it fully edited and ready to share. That keeps the instructions clear, accurate, and enjoyable to use.
What you’ll find in the series
- Progress notes and section-by-section guidance
- Helpful clarifications and modern wording (when the vintage text is unclear)
- Technique notes and tool suggestions when they make the work smoother
- Lots of encouragement—because vintage patterns can be an adventure
If you’d like to follow along, bookmark the page hub above—new section links will be added there as soon as each piece is completed.
Have a Happy Day!
