1916 Table Cover Series Update: Rounds 9–18 Are Live!

If you're following along with my 1916 Table Cover Replica journey, the next progress page is now available!

Vintage Lace in Progress: Post #3 (Rounds 9–18)

In this section, I’m sharing:

  • Rounds 9–18 (with stitch counts)
  • a mini stitch key (including tall stitches + the Tunisian/Afghan terms used in Round 18)
  • my rewritten instructions in US terms
  • and an important correction to the original pattern for Rounds 11–12

Quick note: Round 10 is a “back bump marathon,” so if you crochet along, don’t be afraid to pause and do a quick count check every so often. And if your piece looks a little wavy at this stage—try not to panic. I’m expecting it to settle beautifully after blocking.

Unsolicited tip for the back-bump marathon: I don’t usually use accessories like tension rings, etc., but on this project, I used a bit of self-adherent wrap on my middle finger to cushion it from the hook when working into the chain stitches. It sped up the process quite a bit and saved my finger from painful sticks from the small hook.

I’ll continue adding to the series as each section is completed and edited—no weekly schedule, just steady progress (the best kind!).
